Two men from Keeseekoowenin FN are facing numerous firearms charges after police seized 3 firearms during the execution of a search warrant last week.
On December 2, 2011, at approximately 2pm, Yellowhead RCMP, with the support of the Dauphin RCMP Police Dog Service, executed two simultaneous search warrants on Keeseekoowenin FN.
During the execution of the search warrants, 3 firearms were recovered. All three of these firearms had their serial numbers removed. They are believed to have been stolen from a nearby property, approximately one year ago.
Two men from Keeseekoowenin FN, ages 25 and 34, face numerous firearms charges in relation to this incident. One will make his first appearance in Minnedosa Provincial Court on January 24, 2012, while the other has already appeared and was remanded into custody.
