The Manitoba Integrated High Risk Offender Unit are giving a community notification in regards to David Lewis Leriche, a convicted sex offender who was released from Stony Mountain Institution yesterday.
The Manitoba Integrated High Risk Offender Unit (MIHRSOU) is a joint forces unit of the Winnipeg Police Service and the RCMP. MIHRSOU is providing information regarding 52-year-old David Lewis Leriche, a convicted sex offender who is considered a high risk to become involved in further sexual offences against female children.
Leriche was released from Stony Mountain Institution in Stony Mountain, Manitoba on December 9, 2011. He is expected to take up residence in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Although Leriche participated in some sex offender treatment while in prison, he is still considered a high risk to re-offend sexually. Female children are at risk.
David Lewis Leriche is described as 178 cm (5’10”) in height, weighing 91 kg (200 lbs), has black hair and hazel eyes. Leriche has the following distinguishing marks: Ribbon with Bev and Dave tattoo on the left upper arm, Yosemite Sam tattoo on the left shoulder. Leriche also has an appendix scar on his abdomen.
