A 21-year-old Portage la Prairie man may be facing charges under the Highway Traffic Act after his vehicle rear-ended a car earlier this morning.

On December 19, 2011, at approximately 8:30am, Portage la Prairie RCMP Traffic Services, as well as Portage la Prairie EMS and Portage la Prairie Fire Department, responded to a 2 vehicle collision on Crescent Road East at Portage Avenue in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba.

Investigation revealed that a 2005 Ford F350 collided with a 2001 Chevrolet Malibu. Both vehicles had been traveling eastbound on Crescent Road when the Chevrolet Malibu slowed down to turn onto Portage Avenue and the Ford F350 collided into the rear end of it.

A 20-year-old female driver and 19-year-old male passenger of the Chevrolet Malibu of Long Plain First Nation, were transported to Hospital with undetermined injuries.

Police say that charges under the Highway Traffic Act are pending against the 21-year-old Portage la Prairie male driver of the Ford F350.
