Over $10,000 worth of counterfeit items seized by the RCMP at a Brandon store.
RCMP Federal Enforcement Section seized a quantity counterfeit items from a Brandon store yesterday after a search warrant had been executed.
On December 21, 2011, members of the RCMP Federal Enforcement Section (FES) executed a search warrant at a store located at the Brandon Shoppers Mall in Brandon, Manitoba.
The RCMP investigation indicated that this store was in violation of the Copyright, Trademark and the Textile Act.
RCMP seized in excess of $10,000 worth of counterfeit items, including hoodies, t-shirts, hats and belts. Several high end brand names were identified, including Ford, Monster Energy, Harley Davidson, John Deere, Jack Daniels and Red Bull.
No charges have been laid as of yet and the investigation is continuing.
