On January 30, 2012, just before 6pm, Selkirk RCMP as well as local emergency services and ambulance were dispatched to the scene of a two vehicle head-on collision on Highway 9A, near the junction of Highway 4 in Selkirk, Manitoba.
Initial investigation indicates a 2009 Toyota sedan was southbound on Highway 9A, when it collided with a northbound 2009 Chevrolet pick-up truck.
The driver of the Toyota, a 23-year-old woman from Selkirk and the driver of the pick-up truck, a 73-year-old man from Selkirk, were both transported to hospital with undetermined, non life threatening injuries.
There were no other persons or vehicles involved in this incident. Police say that road conditions were very slippery with reduced visibility at the time of the collision.
