On February 13, 2012, at about 3:15pm, Lac du Bonnet RCMP as well as local emergency services were dispatched to the scene of a two vehicle collision in the RM of Lac du Bonnet.
Initial investigation indicates a compact sedan was northbound on Belluk Road when it collided with a tandem dump truck that was eastbound on PR 313.
Police sat that the driver of the car, an adult female from the Lac du Bonnet area, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the truck, an adult male, was transported to hospital with undetermined injuries.
An RCMP Traffic Collision Analyst will attend to assist with the investigation.
Road conditions and visibility were reported to be good at the time of the collision. Alcohol and speed are not considered factors at this time.
Police continue to investigate.
