On February 21, 2012, shortly after 9am, Stonewall RCMP Detachment and local EMS were dispatched to a collision involving an East Interlake School Division bus and an SUV at the intersection of Meridian Road and Road 76.5N in the RM of Rosser.
The bus driver, identified as a 55-year-old woman from the RM of Rosser, was heading north on Meridian Road when she collided with a westbound SUV driven by a 48-year-old area woman. Both drivers have been taken to hospital for treatment. The full extent of their injuries is not known at the present time.
Police say that an RCMP Traffic Analyst has been dispatched and will assist in the investigation.
RCMP report that the school bus had no children on board at the time of the collision and that road conditions in the area are currently slippery.
