A Birch River man is facing drug trafficking charges after RCMP discovered drugs at a local residence last week.
On March 2, 2012, at about 1:45pm, Swan River RCMP executed a CDSA (Controlled Drugs and Substances Act) search warrant at a residence in Birch River, Manitoba.
Investigators discovered approximately 27 grams of marijuana, a number of prescription pills, various drug paraphernalia and $750 worth of cash. The drugs seized has an estimated street value of $700.
48-year-old Sheldon Theodore O’Neil of Birch River, has been charged with trafficking in a controlled substance. O’Neil had been released on a promise to appear and an undertaking with conditions, to attend Swan River Provincial Court on April 18, 2012.
Police continue to investigate.
