Steinbach’s 2012 Capital Works projects were awarded to Darco Enterprises of Winnipeg for the tendered amount of $1,929,760.
These projects include:
• sidewalk construction on the south side of McKenzie Avenue (400 m)
• sidewalk construction on the east side of Giesbrecht Street (520 m)
• asphalt overlay on Pine Crescent, and parts of Reimer Avenue, Penner Street, Chapel Drive, and Chrysler Gate
• wastewater sewer, watermain, and road reconstruction on Spruce Crescent
• watermain renewal on Reimer Avenue

The 2012 Industrial Road East construction project was awarded to Maple Leaf Construction for the tendered amount of $2,569,558.70. This project involves the extension of roadway from Acres Drive to Park Road West to accommodate further business development in Steinbach’s Industrial Park.
