A Dauphin River FN man has been arrested and is facing second degree murder charges in connection with a homicide incident that occurred this past week in Dauphin River FN.
On March 21, 2012, RCMP from the Gypsumville Detachment responded to a complaint of an unresponsive adult female at a residence at Dauphin River FN. The deceased has been identified as 23-year-old Leanne McLean of Dauphin River FN.
Investigation has now led to the arrest of 23-year-old Aaron Charles Anderson of Dauphin River FN. Anderson, who remains in police custody, is facing charges of second degree murder in connection with the death of Leanne McLean. Involved in this homicide investigation are Gypsumville RCMP Detachment along with a number of RCMP support Units.
At this point of the investigation, it appears that a dispute occurred resulting in the death of Leanne McLean. The autopsy performed attributes the cause of death to be blunt force trauma.
Police say that Anderson and McLean were in a relationship.
