The Steinbach Arts council will be presenting two fabulous displays of art, entered by children and adults from all over the Southeast, during the Southeast Open Judged Art Exhibit in April. The opening ceremony for the juvenile exhibit will be on April 2, with the adult opening ceremony on April 3. The entire exhibit will run until May 4.
For 2012, the Southeast Open Judged Art Exhibit shows a surge in school involvement, with several schools participating. Juvenile entries will be the largest in the history of the exhibits, with over 60 juvenile entries to see. Featured in the exhibit will be photography, pencil drawings, paintings and crafted art.
The Juvenile Exhibit Opening on April 2 will feature greetings by members of City Council, RM of Hanover and the Hanover School Division. Balloons and refreshments will be served for all in attendance.
Mayor Chris Goertzen, Jeremy Davis from Vic Toews’ office and MLA Kelvin Goertzen will bring greetings at the Adult Open Judged Ceremony on April 3. On the schedule for this evening are speeches and live entertainment by Art Rempel.
