Manitoba Pork Council will hold its 2012 Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The meeting will take place once again at the Fairmont Winnipeg.
This year’s AGM will offer an excellent program of informative sessions, with the opportunity to bring resolutions to the floor, and an election for two Directors at Large. Producers are encouraged to come and vote for their new board. An industry panel with a distinguished panel line up will take place in the afternoon session where the panel will share their expertise and cover industry issues based on this year’s AGM theme – We are Part of the Solution. The panelists are as follows:
1) Dr. Allan Preston, DVM (speaking on animal welfare issues)
2) Dr. Steve Sheppard, ECO Matters (speaking on environmental issues)
3) Mr. Curtis Brown, Probe Research (to speak on public perception issues)
4) Mr. Graham, Starmer, President of the Manitoba Chamber of Commerce will be the moderator for this session.
The reception and Annual banquet will begin at 5:30 p.m., with the evening highlights to include an exciting Council video production, a presentation to Siloam Mission, the Pork Industry Awards and much more.
