A youth from the RM of Eriksdale has died after rolling his vehicle on McIntosh Road this past week.
On April 5, 2012, at about 1:45am, Ashern RCMP as well as local emergency services were dispatched to the scene of a fatal single vehicle collision on McIntosh Road in the RM of Eriksdale.
Initial instigation indicates that a 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt was traveling south when the driver lost control and went into the ditch, rolling over at least once.
The driver, an 18-year-old male from the RM of Eriksdale, was transported to hospital where he was pronounced deceased. His name will not be released.
An RCMP Traffic Collision Analyst attended to assist with the investigation.
Police say that seat belt use is considered a factor at this time and that there were no other persons or vehicles involved in the collision.
Police continue to investigate.
