A Gods Lake Narrows youth has been arrested and faces second degree murder charges in connection with the death of a 14-year-old boy.
On March 31, 2012 Gods Lake Narrows RCMP Detachment members responded to a report of a injured 14-year-old male at a residence in Gods Lake Narrows. The boy later succumbed to his injuries.
On April 3, 2012, an autopsy was completed on the deceased male, identified as 14-year-old Donovan Alexander Captain of God’s Lake Narrows. The cause of death has been attributed to a stab wound.
Police say that 18-year-old Trinity Jordan Okemow of Gods Lake Narrows has been arrested and charged with second degree murder. The victim and the accused were known to each other.
The accused is scheduled to appear in Thompson Provincial Court on April 10, 2012.
