RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying suspects involved in a fraud incident that occurred in Portage la Prairie last week.
On April 5, 2012, Portage la Prairie RCMP received a report of fraud that occurred in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba. Investigation revealed that on the evening of Wednesday, April 4, 2012, a 66-year-old female Portage la Prairie resident had her bank card and credit card stolen while shopping in Walmart in Portage la Prairie. The victim did not realize the cards were missing until the following day when she noticed funds missing from her accounts.
Suspects stole her cards after watching her type in her PIN at the checkout. The suspects used her cards to obtain approximately $2,500 in funds from her accounts.
Portage la Prairie RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects from the photo of them entering the store. Anyone with information about this incident are asked to contact the Portage la Prairie RCMP at 857-4445 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS(8477).
