The RCMP would like to remind recreational shooters of the dangers that exist while shooting in unauthorized areas.
The Carmen RCMP have received numerous complaints regarding shooters discharging firearms near a water control device in the area of Dead Horse Creek in the RM of Stanley. The area has been examined by police and partner agencies. It has been determined that this area is not safe for any type of shooting and firearms are not to be discharged in the area.
Reports of persons shooting in this area will be investigated by police and criminal charges could be laid. Recreational shooters and hunters are reminded to ensure the area they are shooting in an area that is safe and legal.
