On March 8, 2012, Blue Hills RCMP and the Whitehead Fire Department attended the scene of a semi-trailer rollover on Highway 1, about 3 km east of the PR 250 junction, near Alexander in the RM of Whitehead.
Police say that an eastbound semi-trailer hauling hogs rolled into the median. The male driver of the semi was not hurt, but a number of hogs were injured or killed.
RCMP report that the trucking company was on-site dealing with the care of the animals.
