Three children and two adults ended up in hospital yesterday after being involved in a multi-vehicle collision at the La Salle turnoff on Highway 330.
On May 11, 2012, shortly after 7am, Headingley RCMP Traffic Services, along with Fire and EMS responded to a collision on the West Perimeter Highway 100 at the junction of Highway 330 at the La Salle turnoff.
RCMP report that the collision occurred when a westbound vehicle on Highway 100 proceeded to turn south onto Highway 330 and collided with an eastbound vehicle. A short while later, an eastbound pick-up truck collided with one of the vehicle involved in the initial collision.
Two drivers, a male and female adult, along with three children, were transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police say that alcohol is not considered a contributing factor and that the investigation into the collision is ongoing.
