Person of interest involved in the attempted use of counterfeit.
Steinbach RCMP are asking the public to help identify a person of interest involved in the attempted use of counterfeit at the Real Canadian Superstore in Steinbach.
On April 25, 2012, an adult male attempted to use a counterfeit $50 bill to make a purchase from the Real Canadian Superstore in Steinbach. Police say that the bill was determined to be counterfeit by the cashier and not accepted as payment.
The identity of the person who used this bill is unknown at this time. Steinbach RCMP believe this person may have information that could assist with the investigation into the origins of this counterfeit currency.

The Steinbach RCMP would like to thank the public for their assistance. Police have identified the male captured on surveillance. No charges are being contemplated at this time.
