A Wabowden man is facing drug related charges after police found him to be in possession of cocaine this past weekend.
On May 12, 2012, at 2:30am, Wabowden RCMP came in contact with an individual from the community walking with open liquor. The man was approached by officers and was found to be in possession of a bag of cocaine.
25-year-old Reginald Mead of Wabowden, was arrested and has since been charged for possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
Cash, drug paraphernalia and 11 grams of cocaine, with an approximate street value of $1,400, was seized during the investigation.
Reginald Mead was released from police custody on a recognizance to appear in Thompson Provincial Court on June 15, 2012.
