On May 23, 2012, just after 11:30am, Blue Hills RCMP members from the Carberry Detachment as well as local emergency services were dispatched to the scene of a workplace fatality in the RM of North Cypress.
Initial investigation indicates that a 22-year-old man from Carberry was working in a metal fabrication shop when the material he was working on collapsed.
Police say that the man was pronounced deceased at the scene. His name will not be released.
Police as well as Manitoba Workplace Health and Safety continue to investigate.
