A Thompson man has been arrested and is facing assault and robbery charges in connection with a stabbing incident that occurred this past weekend.
At 4:30am on June 2, 2012, Thompson RCMP responded to a report of a male who had been stabbed outside of a residence on Wolf Street in Thompson. Responding members located a 36-year-old male who was suffering from stab wounds. The male was transported to the Thompson General Hospital and transferred to a Winnipeg Hospital where he was treated and released.
On June 5, 2012, Thompson RCMP arrested and charged 19-year-old Julian Kenneth Nepton of Thompson for several offences including aggravated assault and robbery.
Nepton was brought before a Justice of the Peace and was released for a court date in July. A 35-year-old male from Thompson was also arrested and will be charged for assault. This male was released on a promise to appear in court, also in July.
The investigation is ongoing.
