Steinbach RCMP are asking for public assistance in finding the whereabouts of Piney resident Joey Anderson, who is wanted by police in connection with a firearms offence.
On June 18, 2012, at approximately 5:48pm, Sprague RCMP received a call of a firearm being discharged at a residence in Piney, Manitoba occupied by a lone male. The male was able to walk away from the residence into a nearby bush.
The suspect has been identified as 18-year-old, Joey Anderson of Piney, Manitoba. Anderson is described as being 5’11”, 170 lbs, blonde hair, blue eyes, wearing a white hoodie, baggy pants, and a brown/beige baseball cap.

On June 19, shortly before noon, Joey Anderson made contact with the Steinbach RCMP Detachment and was arrested in the Community of Piney without incident. Anderson is currently in police custody. No charges have been laid as of yet and the investigation continues.
