The City of Steinbach has given a brief update on Steinbach’s 2012 infrastructure projects.
Industrial Road
Underground works have been completed and excavation for the road base has begun. Installation of water and sewer lines has been completed on Park Road to bring the services to Industrial Road. The project is progressing on time.
Sidewalks
Sidewalks on McKenzie Avenue and Giesbrecht Street are in and only landscaping remains to be completed. The projects will likely be completed by the end of July.
Asphalt Overlays / Watermain & Sewer Renewals
Overlays on Chapel Drive and Chrysler Gate are done, with final landscaping yet to be completed.
The concrete work on Pine Crescent is complete. Asphalt grinding and repaving will commence shortly, followed by landscaping.
Watermain renewal on Reimer Avenue will be finished in the coming week, and then road works will begin.
Sewer renewal work on Penner Street has been completed and road reconstruction will begin shortly.
Underground works (watermain and sewer renewal) on Spruce Crescent have been completed and road excavation will take place this week, followed by road and sidewalk reconstruction.
