A Stockton man is facing drug and firearms related charges after being arrested by police this past week.
On June 22, 2012, around 1pm, officers of the Blue Hills RCMP, the Brandon RCMP Major Crime Unit and the Portage RCMP Dog section, executed a drug search warrant on a residence in Stockton, Manitoba.
A local 23-year-old man was taken into custody. Police found a loaded semi automatic 22 calibre rifle, 8.5 grams of “crystal” methamphetamine, 113 grams of cocaine and around $4,500 cash. Paraphernalia for possession and distribution of the drugs were also seized. The total estimated street value of the drugs is $6,000.
The Stockton male is facing charges of possession of cocaine for the purposes of trafficking, possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, careless storage of a firearm and unauthorized possession of a firearm. He was released on numerous conditions and is scheduled to appear in Brandon court on August 9, 2012.
