The Beausejour and Oakbank RCMP Detachments are asking for the public’s cooperation to respect the no trespassing signs on private properties.
In recent weeks, RCMP have received numerous complaints of individuals and off-road vehicles observed trespassing on private gravel pits for recreational purposes resulting in:
• vandalism to industrial equipment
• locks cut, fences damaged / bypassed
• littering, broken glass
• illegal liquor consumption
• illegal fires
• loud parties
Gravel pits are not for recreational use. They pose serious hazards.
RCMP will be ticketing those that choose to trespass and vehicles will be towed if they are illegally parked in these areas. Those operating off-road vehicles illegally will be charged.
