An 18-year-old male has died after he jumped out of a moving vehicle this past week near The Pas, Manitoba.
On June 29, 2012, shortly before 4am, The Pas RCMP and EMS were dispatched to a report that an 18-year-old male from The Pas had jumped out of a moving vehicle and was seriously injured and unconscious. The incident occurred 15 kms west of The Pas in the RM of Kelsey.
RCMP arrived on scene along with EMS. Police say that CPR had been initiated by those in attendance. The young man was then taken to the local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
RCMP have since learned that on June 29, students of the Margaret Barbour Collegiate Institute in The Pas, were partaking in a safe Grad at the Carrot Valley Hall, located west of The Pas. The 18-year-old intoxicated male graduate was being escorted home by his chaperones when he jumped out of the moving vehicle.
The investigation continues.
