East St. Paul RCMP are investigating the circumstances around a dead body that was discovered in the Red River this past week.
On July 4, 2012, at about 5:30pm. East St. Paul RCMP as well as local emergency services were dispatched to the scene of a body located in the Red River, south of the north perimeter highway bridge at Henderson Highway.
Police say that the body has been identified as a 50-year-old man from the City of Winnipeg. His name will not be released.
The investigation is ongoing.
