A Dauphin man was arrested by police yesterday after he had returned to the restaurant in which he had just robbed, looking for his lost wallet.
Around 11:55pm, on August 7, 2012, officers from the Dauphin Municipal RCMP detachment responded to an intrusion alarm at a restaurant in the south end of Dauphin. When police arrived on scene, they discovered the restaurant had been broken into. About an hour and a half into the investigation, and while investigators were still on scene, the suspect returned to the scene looking for his wallet, which he had dropped.
18-year-old Tarrin Clayton Robert Grimolfson of Dauphin, has been charged with break, enter and theft. Grimolfson has appeared in court and was released on a recognizance and remanded to August 28, 2012.
A quantity of cash that was stolen from the restaurant has been recovered by investigators and returned to the business.
