Around 9:30pm, on August 19, 2012, officers from the Dauphin Municipal RCMP detachment observed a vehicle being operated at a high rate of speed on 1st Street, N.E. in Dauphin.
As police caught up to the suspect vehicle, the driver was seen parking it at a home on 4th Avenue N.E.
Police observed the male driver and said that he had showed signs of being impaired by alcohol. Police then arrested the man and took him to the detachment where breath tests showed his blood alcohol concentration to be in excess of 3 times the legal limit.
A 37-year-old Dauphin man is to make his first court appearance in Dauphin on September 25, 2012.
