Early in the Morning of April 1st at about 5:30 a.m., after responding to an unrelated call, Bloodvein RCMP members noted that two of their residences had been spray painted overnight. Members also learned, upon attending the new Detachment (still under construction) the same morning, that it was also Broken into and damage was done inside the new structure. In addition, the culprits stole several tools belonging to the contractor on-site.
Because of cooperation from the Community and the Bloodvein Citizen On Patrol, on April 1, 2009 at 5:45 p.m., RCMP Officers arrested two local male youths, 14 and 15 years of age, and recovered most of the stolen property in the Break in. The two local youths are currently held in custody in Bloodvein and will face charges of break enter and theft and mischief in relations to both the Detachment and RCMP residences.
These two youth are also being investigated on a separate break and enter and theft as well as mischief to another residence in the Community that same night.
Estimates of the damages to the residences, the Detachment, as well as the value of the items stolen still missing are being gathered and are not available at this time.
The investigation continues.
