The exhibition, which is presented at the Pavilion Gallery Museum at Winnipeg’s Assiniboine Park, is slated to run from September 4th to 24th, and will feature award-winning art by over 70 Manitoba artists, selected by professional juries from Juried Art Shows in the Central, Eastman, Interlake, Norman, Parkland and Westman Regions of the province.
We welcome you to this impressive gathering of artwork as we celebrate the tenth anniversary of the show and we hope it helps to expand your awareness of the incredible level of creative activity happening throughout rural Manitoba.
The exhibition is presented in two galleries. The main portion of the exhibition, featuring artwork in media ranging through painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, ceramics and fiber, is hosted in the 2nd floor Pavilion Gallery Museum at 55 Pavilion Crescent. Selected artworks by younger artists who represent Manitoba’s up and coming new talent are presented in the neighboring Conservatory Gallery.
The opening reception for the main exhibition – along with a preview of the youth show – is set for Friday, September 7. There will be a Youth Show Preview in the Conservatory Gallery from 3:30-5:00 PM followed by an Opening Reception, attended by many of the award-winning artists, from 6-9 PM in the second floor gallery of the Pavilion Gallery Museum (Following the Youth Show Preview, the Conservatory Gallery will be closed during the Opening Reception).
Terrace Fifty-Five will cater the reception, which is open to the public. There will be a cash bar. The venue is wheelchair accessible and parking is free.
