Four Norway House residents are facing drug related charges after being arrested by police earlier this week.
On September 1, 2012, following an investigation into illegal drug activities in Norway House, Norway House RCMP Detachment, along with the RCMP North Crime Reduction Enforcement Support Team and Thompson RCMP Police Service Dog, executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a residence in the Community of Norway House.
Officers seized about 23 grams of cocaine and four ounces of marijuana as well as $3,100 cash.
Police say that four Norway House residents were arrested at the location and are now facing several charges under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act including:
• Farrah Forbister (22) – Trafficking x 2, and Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Wilfred Stewart Forbister (19) – Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Valerie Margaret Forbister (51) – Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Jonathan Robert Forbister (19) – Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking
All four have been released from custody on a Recognizance with a court date of November 15, 2012 in Norway House.
RCMP report that the total estimated street value of the drugs seized is $3,200.
