On September 25, 2012, just before 10:30am, Portage la Prairie RCMP, EMS and Fire Department, responded to a collision involving a vehicle and cyclist on 8th Street NW in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba.
Initial investigation determined that a Chevrolet Malibu was traveling north when it collided with a northbound cyclist. Police say that the cyclist was attempting to make a u-turn on the roadway.
The cyclist, a 65-year-old Portage la Prairie man, was transported to the Portage District General Hospital with what was reported to be non life threatening injuries.
Portage la Prairie RCMP continue to investigate the collision with the assistance of the RCMP Criminal Crash Investigation Team.
