On September 29, 2012, around 4:25pm, officers from the Dauphin Municipal RCMP detachment received a report of a possible impaired driver at a business in the south end of Dauphin.
As officers were en route, they observed the suspect car turn onto Main Street in front of them. A traffic stop was made and the driver of the car showed signs of being impaired by alcohol.
RCMP report that the driver did not hold a valid driver’s licence and was also bound by conditions of a recognizance. The man was arrested and taken to the Dauphin Detachment where breath tests showed his blood alcohol concentration to be more than twice the legal limit which is .08.
A 33-year-old man from Swan River, Manitoba, is scheduled to make his first court appearance in Dauphin on November 6, 2012.
