The Steinbach Christian High School gymnasium was abuzz with sounds of excitement during the Fit For Renewal ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, Sept 28.

Principal Scott Wiebe was joined on stage by guests MLA Kelvin Goertzen, SBC President Rob Reimer and Steinbach Mayor Chris Goertzen, to officially open the newly renovated gym.
With the removal of the stage, the gym floorspace was increased by 20 feet. The advantage of the renovations allow the athletic program to schedule multiple teams at the same time.
The students are excited about the new gym. It has been closed since May, so the students had been anticipating what the gym would look like.
SCHS would like to thank the many people who worked hard at completing the project and also to the donors who made significant contributions to the new facility.
