On October 31, 2012, at about 8am, Lynn Lake RCMP executed two Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrants simultaneously at two residences in the town of Lynn Lake.

During the search, police seized approximately 60 grams of marijuana and over $7,000 in currency as well as drug paraphernalia.
Police say that a 44-year-old man and a 47-year-old woman, both residents of Lynn Lake, were arrested during the search. They are facing charges of possession of cannabis marijuana for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000. They have been released from police custody and are scheduled to appear in Lynn Lake Provincial Court.
Police continue to investigate.
