RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance in locating Carl Ellingson, a missing 79-year-old man from the Benito area.
Carl Ellingson was last seen leaving Swan River on November 8, just after 5pm and was traveling by vehicle to his home near Benito. At this time it appears that he did not arrive home.
Ellingson is driving a green 1998 Ford F150 pick-up truck with Manitoba licence AVG 876. He is described as about 5’11” tall and 180 lbs. Ellingson has gray hair and blue eyes.
Carl Ellingson requires medication and may be disoriented. Police and family members are searching the area.
Anyone with information as to his whereabouts or has seen his vehicle is asked to call the Swan River RCMP at 204-734-4686 or their local police agency.

Carl Ellingson was located by police deceased approximately 2 km from his vehicle, near his residence. No foul play is suspected.
