Steinbach RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the person(s) responsible for the theft of numerous snowmobile trail signs in the RM of La Broquerie.
RCMP report that during the 2012/2013 snowmobile season, approximately 40 snowmobile trail signs were stolen from the designated snowmobile trails in the RM of La Broquerie. Several of these were snowmobile “Stop” signs, which are similar in appearance to those posted on provincial roads, but smaller in size. The other signs consist of trail marking signs and information signs for snowmobilers.
Police say that in addition to marking snowmobile trails, these signs provide important information to ensure the safe and enjoyable use of the snowmobile trails.
RCMP are asking that anyone with information regarding these thefts to contact the Steinbach RCMP Detachment at 204-326-4452.
