A dog, that was recently stolen from a La Broquerie residence, has been returned to its owner by a Winnipeg resident that had purchased the dog over the internet.

Police were called, on the morning of February 26, 2013, by a Winnipeg resident, who advised that she had purchased the dog over the Internet. The resident, upon learning the dog was stolen, returned it to the rightful owner.

Police investigation has revealed that an acquaintance of the dog’s owner sold the dog without permission.

RCMP are warning the public to be cautious when purchasing items over the internet.
