On March 9, 2013, Steinbach RCMP received a complaint of a missing male that was believed to be highly intoxicated and stranded in a vehicle somewhere in the vicinity of Steinbach.
RCMP investigation into this matter confirmed that the male was in fact missing. Numerous relatives and friends of the missing male were then contacted for assistance in locating him as it was feared that the cold weather could pose a threat to the person’s safety.
Several police patrols were conducted in attempt to locate the vehicle and the male. Shortly after 9am, a homeowner on the north end of Steinbach, discovered a vehicle stuck on their front lawn with a male sleeping in it and contacted police. The male was picked up by family and the vehicle was subsequently towed away.
