Around 1:15am, on March 16, 2013, officers from the Dauphin Municipal RCMP detachment were called to a local bar to remove an intoxicated patron.
Officers attended the bar, located the intoxicated man and arrested him. He was then taken to the Dauphin Detachment to be lodged in cells. The man was belligerent and uncooperative with officers, and at one point, grabbed hold of one of the officers and a brief struggle ensued. Neither the man nor the officer were injured.
The 40-year-old man from the Skownan First Nation, has been released from custody on a promise to appear and is to make his first court appearance in Dauphin on April 30, 2013.
