In the early morning hours of March 22, 2013, Oxford House RCMP were dispatched to a dispute at a residence in Oxford House where a male was found seriously injured. The man was transported to the local nursing station where he was later pronounced deceased.
RCMP report that the victim has been identified as 39-year-old Dana Lambert Munroe of Oxford House and that his death is being treated as a homicide.
Oxford House RCMP with the assistance of the RCMP Serious Crime Unit, the RCMP Thompson and Winnipeg Major Crime Units, the RCMP Thompson Forensic Identification Section with additional resources from the God’s Lake RCMP detachment and the North District Crime Reduction Enforcement and Support Team are investigating.
On March 22, 2013, Kerry Morris Radburn, 25, of Oxford House was arrested and has since been charged with 2nd degree murder. He remains in police custody and is scheduled to make a court appearance in Thompson on March 26, 2013.
An autopsy has taken place in Winnipeg and the cause of death is attributed to a stab wound.
