An adult male is facing numerous charges, including trafficking of a controlled substance, after being arrested by Steinbach RCMP earlier this evening.
On April 6, 2013, at approximately 5pm, Steinbach RCMP were conducting patrols in the City of Steinbach, Manitoba. Police say that a vehicle was stopped on Reimer Avenue for mechanical reasons and after a short discussion with the occupants, the passenger fled the vehicle on foot. The suspect was pursued by police and was apprehended in a back lane near Friesen Avenue with the assistance of an off-duty corrections officer.
RCMP report that an adult male is facing charges of obstruction, resisting arrest and possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.
