Steinbach RCMP are requesting assistance from the public in locating two witnesses to a recent fatal vehicle collision that occurred in the RM of La Broquerie.
On April 27, 2013 at approximately 10pm, Steinbach RCMP Detachment responded to a fatal motor collision in the Rural Municipality of La Broquerie. Police investigation has revealed that two individuals witnessed the accident and reported it to 911.
Information obtained by police revealed that immediately following the collision, a dark coloured diesel truck drove to a residence close to the accident scene. A male and female approached the residence and asked to use the phone to call for assistance for the passengers of the vehicle involved in the collision. The residents in the home provided a phone to the female who called but left the residence prior to providing contact information.
The female is described as mid 30’s, having long brown hair with blonde streaks, darker skin and was wearing a green button-up jacket made of denim-like material, jeans and boots. The male is described as slim build in his 40’s and was bald with a black goatee, a tattoo on the side of his neck and was wearing jeans and a black shirt.
Police are requesting the public’s assistance in locating the witnesses to this collision.
