A Swan River man is facing numerous charges, including unlawful possession of child pornography, after being arrested by police this past week.
On May 2, 2013, Swan River RCMP, with the assistance of the Manitoba RCMP Internet Child Exploitation Unit (ICE) and the Manitoba RCMP Integrated Technological Crime Unit, executed a search warrant at a residence in Swan River, Manitoba.
RCMP report that a 30-year-old male resident of Swan River was arrested and has been charged with a number of offences, including unlawful possession of child pornography, distributing child pornography, sexual assault, uttering death threats and drug possession.
The suspect has been remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in Dauphin Provincial Court on Monday, May 6, 2013.
