RCMP have identified human remains as those of Travis Benjamin Bilay of Dauphin, who was reported missing by his family back in January of this year.

On May 7, 2013, human remains were located on a rural property, southwest of Dauphin, Manitoba. Dauphin RCMP, along with Dauphin RCMP Forensic Identification Section, Dauphin RCMP Major Crimes Services and RCMP Winnipeg Serious Crimes Unit were called in to investigate.

On May 9, 2013, an autopsy was completed. The remains were identified as those of 24-year-old Travis Benjamin Bilay of Dauphin, Manitoba. Travis Bilay was reported missing by his family on January 4, 2013.

Police say that the death is being treated as suspicious and that the investigation is ongoing.
