This past week, RCMP discovered human remains at a Winnipeg residence as part of an ongoing Project Devote investigation.
On May 8, 2013, members of the Project Devote team, with the assistance of the Winnipeg Police Service Forensic Identification Unit, executed a search warrant at a residence in the 100 block of Lorne Avenue in Winnipeg. Project Devote investigators were provided information from British Columbia RCMP that lead to the search of the residence.
RCMP report that investigators at the scene discovered human remains which have been positively identified as those of 36-year-old Myrna Letandre. The death is now being treated as a homicide.
Myrna Letandre was reported missing from Winnipeg on October 26, 2006. Anyone with information is asked to call the Project Devote Tip Line at 1-888-673-3316.
