Between May 5 and 23, 2013, 12 residents of Carberry have discovered their vehicles had been entered, rummaged through and items stolen.
Police say that in most of these cases, the culprit(s) gained entry to the unlocked vehicles and removed items of both little and significant value. Items included petty cash, GPS units, back packs, wallets and other miscellaneous contents. In some of the cases, vehicles were simply vandalized with nothing stolen.
Police are seeking the public’s assistance in solving these crimes, and urge anyone with information to contact Crime stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or the Carberry Detachment (204) 834-2905.
Police further urge the public not to be “Easy victims. “Secure your vehicles and residences at all times they are unattended, and remove any items of quick transferable value out of sight.
