On June 5, 2013, at 7pm, Bloodvein RCMP and local emergency services were dispatched to the scene of a residential fire on Bloodvein First Nation.

RCMP report that firefighters were unable to save the two-story structure. A damage estimate is not yet available.
Police say that there was no one in the residence at the time of the fire, and no injuries were reported.
RCMP investigators have arrested two female youths, age 12 and 14, who reside in the community. They are both facing charges of arson.
